Amazon Fund expands
Since launching in 2008 there are now more than 40 volunteers helping the foundation. Our board member Erik Jongejan, living in France, found 12 people willing to become a think-tank of our foundation. The Dutch citizen Antoon Valckx, living in La Paz, will assist our volunteers in Bolivia. Alina Stiefel from Argentina will administer Amazon Fund's Facebook. Also the Netherlands can count on more people. We are honoured with new experienced people like Klaas Jan Beek and Bert van Barneveld. Soon we will update our 'whoweare' page with more information.

Clean drinking water for San Luis Grande, Bolivia
80% of the project has been realized thanks to the hard work of Frans Cayo, the people of San Luis Grande and Christian Scherer. Unfortunately the volunteer Christian had to go back home because of a lung infection. Fortunately his absence does not seem to have negative consequences. Read more about the developments in http://www.amazonfund.eu/drinkwater_SanLuisGrande.html.
Alliance for Indigenous People
Amazon Fund has joined in a new Indigenous Peoples alliance. The Dutch Centre for Indigenous Peoples (NCIV) is initiator. The first mutual activity is a 'Drum Ceremony with a Message', held on September 13th in The Hague. 100 Indigenous Tribes around the world will participate. Two dutch politicians will be present to receive a call and petition to respect indigenous people rights. The website www.digitalamokesignal.org is our platform.
